We just received the following message from CHSAA:
Following a thorough review of the Burlington–Limon girls basketball game, including a comprehensive review of game footage and consultation with both schools, it was determined that there was a significant violation of CHSAA member bylaws that involved conspiring to compromise the competitive integrity of a sporting event to gain a seeding advantage. As a result, the Burlington girls basketball program, including the head coach and volunteer assistant coach, has been placed on restriction and will not be eligible for postseason participation.
The commissioner of CHSAA informed us this is unable to be appealed. As a district, our hands are tied at this point and there is nothing we can do to dispute or change this decision. We are saddened and shocked by this news, especially for our girls on the basketball team.
