Attention 8th grade families! We’re excited to announce a fun and memorable fundraiser for this year’s yearbook.
Submit a baby picture of your 8th grader for our special “Guess Who?” section in the yearbook! Students and staff will have a blast trying to match each adorable baby photo to the correct student.
💵 Cost: $20 per student
📷 What to Submit: One clear baby photo
📅 Deadline: April 16

These are important testing days for our students, and we kindly ask that families prioritize attendance on these dates to help avoid the need for makeup testing. Being present and on time helps students feel confident and keeps the testing schedule running smoothly.

On Thursday, March 26th BHS Students will participate in the PSAT/SAT Practice Test and Electives Fair. Seniors will not be tested and are excused for the entire day. Junior students are excused for the rest of the day after lunch, which will begin at 11:00 AM. Current freshmen and sophomores will need to report to the BHS Auditorium at 12:30pm for the Electives Fair. School lunch will be served for those students that wish to remain on campus during that time. If you have any questions, please contact BHS Counselor Elizabeth Lopez:

Reminder BES Circle Drive Closed - Monday, March 23
Access to the north circle drive will be closed on Monday, March 23 as the city completes a curb project that began over Spring Break.
Preschool Drop-Off & Pick-Up:
All preschool drop-off and pick-up will take place on the south side of campus, near the grassy area south of the old gym. Staff will have the sign-in/out sheet available there for parents.
If you are dropping off your preschool student late, please use the main entrance on the west side of the building.
K–4 Arrival & Dismissal:
Arrival for K–4 students will remain the same as normal. Dismissal will also follow normal procedures with one exception—kindergarten may use the south side of the old gym for dismissal at the end of the day on Monday if needed.
We expect this to be a short-term inconvenience and anticipate the work will be completed by Monday. We will keep you updated if there are any changes to the city’s plans. The road on the north side will be repaved later this spring, so this will also serve as a helpful practice for managing those future disruptions.

Road Construction Update- The City of Burlington is repaving the streets surrounding BHS. We have been informed that the 4 way stop at the intersection of Mike Lounge and Fay Street will be closed. To enter the high school, use 14th Street to Fay. Once you approach the north side of BHS, go down the wrong way on the one way (Cougar Drive) to the high school. Cones will placed down to separate into 2 lanes. Then you may park in the paved (west) parking lot as usual.
