V Golf at Holyoke
Cougar team score was a 290 and finished 7th Place.
Low score for the team belonged to Truit Homm with a 93 that placed him in 11th position.
Following up with another good score was Oliver Goodnow with a 97 that placed him in 21st position.
Rounding out the team score was Trevor Yahn with a 100 that placed him in 27th position.
Finishing up the scoring for Burlington was Brandon McDaniel with a 106 that placed him in 32nd position.

Clarification on Playground Incident
The incident occurred around 1:30 in the morning. Students were not present or affected in any way.

Early this morning there was an incident on the BES playground that local law enforcement was involved in and had roped off part of our swings for safety. Mr. Waters and I were contacted and both spoke to Burlington PD, inspected the area and deemed it safe to allow kids to play on during the day. We informed all staff and increased supervision during recess as a precaution. Mr. Waters and I wanted to let parents know of the situation as your child's safety is our priority. If you have any questions, please reach out to me.

Burlington High School HOSA is proud to announce that Jade Yager is our first nationally certified CPCT/A Patient Care Technician!
Jade successfully completed this year-long CTE course offered at Burlington High School and passed her certification exam today at BHS, which is a nationally recognized National Health Career Association testing center.
What is a Patient Care Technician?
Healthcare professionals rely on patient care technicians to assist with the critical day-to-day care some patients require. They provide hands-on assistance to serve patients' basic needs, which greatly impacts the lives of their patients and their patients' families.
Patient care techs are able to perform all of the following tasks:
Provide basic patient care — bathing, feeding, catheter care, etc.
Acquire, distribute and administer patient care supplies
Perform safety checks and ensure cleanliness in patient rooms
Accommodate any additional patient needs
Obtain EKG readings and monitor vital signs
Perform phlebotomy procedures
Provide emotional support to patients and families, particularly coping with grief and death
