I extend our deepest gratitude to the Board of Education, Superintendent Walkinshaw, our dedicated administrators, teachers, staff, and parents for their unwavering commitment to our students and community.

According to the 2026 Preliminary District Performance Framework, Burlington RE-6J achieved an overall category rating of Accredited. Burlington has made tremendous gains in the last few years, reflecting the collective hard work and collaboration of our entire school community.

Highlights from this year's report include:
* Postsecondary & Workforce Readiness: Earned a high rating of Meets (75.0% of points).
* Outstanding Graduation & Dropout Metrics: Achieved an Exceeds rating with a remarkable 96.4% 5-year graduation rate (and 100% for free/reduced-price lunch eligible students) alongside an exceptionally low 0.3% dropout rate.
* Strong Participation & Safety: Fully met all state assurances for finance, safety, and assessment participation, achieving a 98.9% accountability participation rate in ELA and Math.
* Academic Growth & Achievement Progress: High school performance reached an overall Improvement status level (53.8% of points), with middle school academic growth reaching 51.3%.

Results for Cross Country and Golf⛳️🏃🏼‍♂️ XC finished 8th as a team at Rocky Ford The Golf team score was a 284 resulting in 5th place Individual scores: Trevor Yahn at a 93 and 11th place Oliver Goodnow scored a 95 and finished in 16th place. Colton Schlosser rounded out the team score with a 96 and 20th place. Truit Homm finished scoring with a 98 and 23rd #CougarPride
