Patient Care Technician students are “gearing up” for a fantastic year of learning. PCT class is a CTE program offered at BHS to eligible juniors and seniors. This year-long course covers all of the education and skills training required to sit for NHA’s national exam and become CPCT/A certified. This our program’s second year.

To all of our fans in attendance at tonight’s football game: We have experienced an electrical issue that has rendered our scoreboard unusable for this evenings game. The officials have the official game time kept on the field and will communicate with us as much as possible so that we can keep everyone updated the best we can. Thank you for your understanding.

A big thank you to Mortenson Company, Power Delivery Division out of Minnesota, for building, painting, installing, and donating a Little Free Library to Burlington Elementary School!

Their team is currently working on the Singing Grass Windfarm and Substation in Vona, and we’re grateful they chose to leave such a thoughtful gift behind. The Burlington Elementary Student Advisory and Leadership Team proudly accepted the library on behalf of the school.

Your generosity will have a lasting impact on our kids and community.

Parents and Families,

I want to reach out and inform you that we have seen an increase of Hand Foot and Mouth disease (HFM) at school. It's typically a mild illness, and I’d like to share the attached information for your information:

The best ways to prevent transmission of any illness is to stay home if you are sick, and to practice good hand hygiene, washing hands frequently. Students with HFM do not need to stay home from school unless they have a fever, vomiting or diarrhea, are drooling uncontrollably or don’t feel well enough to participate in daily activities.

Please follow up with your primary care provider if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you,

Christy Lindenschmidt
School Nurse
