Substitute Info

We offer a Substitute class every August to help anyone interested sign up with CDE.  This will be August 1st, 2018 @ 8:30 am. BMS computer lab.

It is important for all substitute teachers to register or renew their licenses as the State of Colorado requires it.

To apply to be a substitute, you need to go to the police station or court house and get finger printed.  Please bring the card into the District Office.

Then go to

Once there, click educator preparation and Licencing on the left side under Popular Resources

Scroll down and click on Apply for or renew a license or Authorization.

Then choose 5, 3 or 1 year application and click on year you have chosen.

Next click on Register or Login.

It will then walk you through the steps to create an application and ask you to pay online.

·        Submit fingerprints to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

o    You only have to be fingerprinted one time for CDE. If you have already submitted your fingerprints with a previous application, you can skip this step.
