BHS Cougar Band The Cougar Band is home to all types of musical styles. The most visible is the pep/marching band. They perform at all home football and basketball games, as well as various community events. The band can be seen in the BHS homecoming parade, the Burlington Parade of Lights and various cermonies in town. This year the band performed in the 2009 National Western Stockshow Parade in downtown Denver. The 121 member band consisted of Flags, rifles, percussion and wind players. The band also has a concert band that performs at the Winter Program and Spring Programs. Jazz band also performs at this time. The band also provides the accompaning music for the Spring musical.
BHS CHOIR The Burlington High School Chorus consists of members of the high school that exhibit talent in the areas of vocal music. These students sing in 2 or 3 part harmony of various styles. Styles performed this year have been jazz, classical, madrigal and show tunes. They are accompanied by guitar, bass and drums. They have sung at various community events in town as well as their Winter and Spring programs. Members of this group also provide the singing of the National Anthem at select ball games at school.
