Art Discovery introduces you into art by using different tools and materials. You start out using paint (acrylic, tempera, watercolor) , pen and ink, pastels (chalk, oil), ceramics, printmaking, sculpture (soap, balsa), collage, glass. A sketchbook will be provided. In this class, they will find their creativity, ability, and knowledge level will improve.

Intermediate Art is applying the basic knowledge of Art Discovery with more sophisticated and in-depth use of his/ her materials. It will challenge their personal abilities and skills with each artwork.

Advanced Art is taken on from the previous courses Discovery Art and Intermediate Art. Advanced Art will work towards senior portfolios, scholarship applications, career research paper and a career folder containing a resume, colver letter and letter of recommendation for those students choosing art as a career. Discovery, Intermediate, and Advanced Art are taken one full year.
