As I reflect on my own good fortune, I have to be thankful for those I work with here at Burlington Elementary School. I am surrounded by staff that are working at BES because they care about children, and are all teachers in their heart — whether they have a teaching degree or not. Additionally, Burlington Elementary is blessed with parent helpers, high school aides, and community reading tutors! Do you parents realize that you are also essential teachers in your child’s life?! To Teach Is to Hope

To teach is to hope…

that one day a child will know

the meaning of confidence

and be able to touch other lives.

To teach is to pray…

that these newly brave souls will

use their talents

to better the world,

instead of just themselves.

of those in our care

Thank you staff, parents, high school students and community members! Burlington Elementary is blessed with many individuals who are contributing their time to assist BES student learning, and providing teaching that can make a lifetime difference. I’m proud that our students are provided with numerous learning opportunities, are excited about learning, and have the BESTimes at BES!
